The Potala Palace, built in the 7th century, is the first attraction for the tour package. The palace was the political center in ancient Tibet. Now it is a museum and the best place to learn the history of Tibet. Priceless Buddhist scriptures and gems are the most renowned collections in the museum. The architectures in the palace are all located on a hill. They are connected perfectly with the hill as if they are a part of the hill. We suggest you spend 2 to 3 hours in the palace.

The next destination is the Lhasa River, the mother river for the city of Lhasa. It takes around 20 minutes to drive from the Potala Palace to the river. You will feel Tibet is even more mysterious and holier when walking beside the river. There are not so much plants on the hills beside the river, but this is true Tibet. Tibetan people believe their gods are living on the bald mountains. It may need 3 hours to fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere beside the river.

After the tour you will be transferred to your hotel.
